Fri. 12. [12 May 1899] Caught cold in the night, so boring. Food and
service extremely bad. Talked to a German journalist whom I did not
like. After Sofia [Sofiya] it began to rain. We got to Belgrade
[Beograd] at 6. Played with a little French girl all the afternoon.
