Thursday 95 Sloane Street. Belloved Mother. Oh I'm so much relieved by your telegram. I've had such a day! however it's over and it was very foolish anyway. Now about my coming - these are my plans, so tell me what to alter: tomorrow I'm going to a play with the Lascelleses, Saturday I told Caroline I would bicycle down to lunch with a little mutual friend of ours, Major Lloyd (you don't know him, but he's very nice and a sober married man withal!) Tuesday I had arranged to dine with Tiny and go to Madame Blumenthal's with her. But you have only to say the word and I will write to everyone and say I can't. Wouldn't you like me to come home on Tuesday 2nd so that you might come up on the 3rd and go to Eton? I don't care a scrap about Madame B.'s if you would do that. Let me know and don't consider my feelins [sic]! because they wd be much more hurt if you didn't tell me to come if you want me. You quite understand, don't you? I'm writing all the news to Papa. Ever your affectionate daughter Gertrude
